6.1.2 Cross-sectional window
The cross-sections view displays vertical slices going around the patient's ridge. As the user moves through the slices using the cross-sectional slider, the corresponding multi-color lines in the axial and panoramic views will move accordingly, identifying the location of the five (or three) images being displayed in the cross-sectional views. These images are used to evaluate the bone height and thickness in planning. When implants are placed, they are often placed into one of the images in the cross-sectional view. The distance separating the images can be modified by clicking on the icon, and a new value can be selected from the drop-down menu. By default the distance between images is set to 1mm.
