26.2.5 Crowns and implants
Now you can add crowns and implants. Crowns can be generated either automatically, or can be selected from predefined catalog. For more information about virtual teeth, see chapter 15.

You can choose from several teeth geometry sets and implants compatible with the kit type selected at the start of the Wizard. The crowns are added together with the selected implants and, in this step, you can only move them jointly. Blue Sky Plan® examines the available space for placing the tooth and implant. This only works for one tooth option. If the system evaluates a bigger gap for the implant in question, an info message appears and the user chooses between automatic or manual implant placement. The user manually places and positions the implant by clicking the "Place Manually" button. If the user selects "Add Automatically, the program will try to place the implant, but, most likely, it may be defective. Please note that this is only applicable to the implants associated with teeth from the catalog.

Blue Sky Plan Wizard offers the possibility to add fully automatic implants. An automatic implant is added via the "Add Tooth" dialog. Choose the associated AI tooth from the preview in the "Automatically create AI Tooth" tab (this is selected by default). By clicking the implant field, "Add New Implant" a dialog appears. Select "Automatic Implant" and implant type. The specific implant and platform will be chosen automatically. Click on "OK" to confirm implant selection and then once again on "OK" for automatic implant and adding a tooth. For more information about automatic implants, see chapter 8.1.2.

After the AI tooth with an automatic implant is added, segmentation takes place and the local bone and two surrounding teeth are segmented. Segmentation cannot be hidden in the Wizard, it can only be done outside the Wizard in the Surfaces panel.

In the next step you can adjust the implant and the crown positions separately. Both steps also display validation information about the status of the individual implants.

The icon appears if an implant is evaluated as invalid. After double clicking on this icon the Implant Validation Panel will open with further information.

If you continue while the collision between Software Guide Tube and the model is detected, you can choose in this step if you resolve collisions immediately or leave it as it is.
