26.1 Automatic Implant Wizard
The Automatic Implant Wizard speeds up and simplifies the creation of surgical guides by performing a series of predefined workflow steps automatically. These automated steps can be adjusted according to user preferences. To customize the automated workflow behavior, open the Preferences and go to the "Automatic Wizard Flow Functionality" section in the Surgical Guide tab. The following features can be enabled or disabled: Mandibular Nerve Detection, Automatic Model Alignment, Crown Positioning, Implant Position Adjustment. Modifying these settings allows you to adjust the automatic workflow to your preferred planning process.

In Project Settings, you may select the patient (1), choose the appropriate treatment folder (2), and specify the type of arch (3). For further details, see chapter 3 "Blue Sky Launcher." In Workflow Settings, clicking the blue cross (4) allows you to download additional data packages for various third-party companies. You may select the Implant Company (5), Drill Kit (6), and Implant System (7). The drill kit selected in the Workflow Settings cannot be modified within the Wizard. If it becomes necessary to replace the implant during the procedure, an implant compatible with the previously selected drill kit must be chosen. Enabling the "Add Trajectory Indicator" checkbox (8) adds a custom 3 × 20 mm abutment to the automatic implants. If this checkbox is not enabled, no abutment will be added. The "Automatically Resolve Collisions" checkbox (9) automatically enlarges the software guide tubes to prevent collisions. The "Send to LabPronto" checkbox enables you to send the project via LabPronto at the end of the flow. Additionally, you may specify whether the CT data should be segmented locally, fully, or not at all during the Wizard (12). Enabling "Extract Tooth" (11) permits tooth extraction within the workflow. You can extract a tooth either by selecting the desired tooth from the tooth selection diagram or by using the arrow buttons (or the mouse wheel) to cycle through the teeth. Only one tooth can be extracted at a time. The dental notation system is determined by the settings in Preferences > General, where you can choose between EU, FDI, or US dental notation.

Once the required data (mandible or maxilla optical scan and the patient's CT scan) are imported in the "Data Import" step and you click "Next", the Automatic Implant Wizard opens. Note: The antagonist jaw is optional. It cannot be used for treatment planning; however, it may be included to improve the quality of the generated crown. The software first performs automatic nerve detection and subsequently advances to "Automatic Model Alignment", where the imported arch is aligned with the CT scan. The system then proceeds to the "Position Crowns" stage, where the crowns and corresponding implants are automatically positioned according to the implant selections defined in Workflow Settings. If segmentation was enabled in those settings, the segmentation process will be executed at this point.

The Automatic Implant Wizard can add teeth and crowns to open spaces in one jaw, but only if no more than three adjacent teeth are missing. If more than three teeth in a row are missing, no teeth are added.

The Automatic Implant Wizard supports context-menu actions. Right-click in the scene to show or hide the objects and surfaces. In the "Draw Guide" step, click "Draw Guide Curve" to manually create a guide and press SHIFT + left click to define the guide curve. You can grab and drag the curve nodes to fine tune its position. The curve can also be generated automatically by clicking "Automatic Guide Curve". By clicking the Next button, you proceed to the Verification step, where you can create and verify the surgical guide. You can also add additional windows and then recreate the guide with the updated windows. In the next step, you can save your guide, case, and report, as well as order parts to finish the wizard. Note: You can always return to previous steps to make adjustments.
