24 Connection Tubes

Connection tubes enable the user to connect two surfaces via a tube. The tube's shape is defined by free-form profiles. The profiles are defined by free-form curves, which can be interactively adjusted. Additionally, the user is able to adjust the bending of the tube. This function can be activated in the Model Master or Normal/Advanced Module in the Panels section.

To initiate a connection tube operation, click the Add Connection Tube button (1). If not selected, the functionality remains disabled. Use Shift + Left Mouse Button to place the start profile, and Shift + Right Mouse Button to place the end profile. The radius and control points of each profile can always be adjusted (2). If needed, any selected point can be reset or cleared when the result does not meet your expectations. To set the tube protrusion, use the slider to modify the protrusion value (3). To remove the connection tube, click the "Clear Connection Tube" button (4). Before creating a connection tube, verify that no error message is displayed in the Connection Tube Validation Results section (6). If you set the start and end points of the profile in the same location, the distance between the profile endpoints becomes too small. Please adjust the positions of the profile endpoints. Some connection tubes may contain self-intersections. Adjust the profile radius or the tube bending. To create connection tubes, click the "Connect" (5) button. After the tubes are generated, a new surface titled Connection Tubes Model will appear in the Surfaces list.
