Blue Sky Plan Manual

Blue Sky Plan® makes it possible to segment and remove individual teeth and jaws from the data. The following segmentation methods are supported. Segmentation is available in the Model Master module > Panels > Segmentation. Automatic segmentation for both tooth and jaw is accessible via Model Master > Tools > Automatic Teeth Segmentation or Automatic Jaw Segmentation.

Segmentation settings can be adjusted in Preferences > Surgical Guide > Automatic Functionality. "Run Bone Segmentation without manual adjustments" (1) won't show the user manual editing tools during the jaw segmentation process. The other three checkboxes will start specific segmentation processes after the CT data are imported. "Run CT Teeth Segmentation automatically when importing CT scan" (2) will only start teeth segmentation. "Run Bone Segmentation automatically when importing CT scan" (3) will start teeth and jaw segmentation (note: this will overwrite the "Run CT Teeth Segmentation automatically when importing CT scan" checkbox). "Run Airways Segmentation automatically when importing CT scan" (4) will start Airways segmentation.
