15.4 Aligning an implant and further operations
The side panel, which can be opened with the "Panels > Tooth List" menu option, provides further operations on the tooth. A list containing a description of the tooth (1), a check box (2) for turning the visibility of the individual tooth on and off, and a button to remove the given tooth (3) appear in this panel. The selected tooth is displayed in red in the sequence, and the associated row is highlighted in the list. As for implants, it is also possible to set the transparency (4) or outline the display (5) for teeth. There is also an "Add Tooth" button here for adding a tooth (6), which functions the same way as the toolbar button described above, optionally via a menu item.

The result of clicking the "Remove Tooth" button (7) depends on whether a tooth has been selected. If so, the action is performed directly on the chosen tooth. If not, the selected tooth is removed from the sequence by clicking the mouse. The button for changing the geometry of the tooth is "Replace Tooth" (8). The dialog for selecting the new geometry works analogously: if one of the teeth is selected, the new geometry is set to it; if none is selected, the mouse cursor changes to a selection cross, and the geometry changes to that of the tooth selected by clicking on it. The "Align New Implant" button (9) first opens a dialog for selecting the implant, and after the selection is confirmed with the "OK" button, the new implant is added to the project with a position setting corresponding to that of the selected tooth. The button for aligning an existing implant (10) works analogously. When it is pressed, the mouse cursor changes to a selection cross, and when one of the existing implants is clicked on, its position with respect to the tooth is modified. The tooth can be extracted in the "Tooth Extraction" section. By clicking the "Extract Tooth" button (11), segmentation starts on the selected scan and a segmented model is created. When segmentation is active, it is possible to use CTRL + left click on the jaw's tooth to extract it. Segmentation is deleted by clicking the "Clear Segmentation" button (12). Radial deformation (14) affects the shape of the resulting ovate pontic. When turned on, the amount of surface deformation depends solely on the distance of the surface point from the theoretical center of the tooth, resulting in a symmetric, radius-dependent shape. The slider (13) then affects the resulting depth of pontic ovation upon the extraction of the tooth.
