Surgical guided design and implant placement with live patient experience using various guide designs in various edentulous sites.

Thursday: Surgical guide designs and Print your own cases

Friday and Saturday Morning and Afternoon participants will be placing implants on patients max 8-12 implants per participant depending on your skill level and the patient needs.

This course is for dentists with basic understanding of guided surgery and implant placement who want to learn how to diagnose, plan, and fabricate all the components to execute a guided surgical placement of dental implants.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand treatment planning aspects in various types of bone
  • Restorative concepts and guide fabrication
  • Demonstrate techniques and armamentarium utilized for different surgical and prosthetic cases
  • Diagnosis, software planning, and surgical execution for guided surgery
  • Understand the limitations of bone, implants, surgery, grafting, bone guides, 3D printing, digital guide design
  • Simplify treatment planning, case presentation, and implement both phases of treatment (surgical and prosthetic)
  • Cost Considerations
  • Dealing with Complications
  • Learn ways to generate thick attached tissue around implants without grafting
  • Review of useful technologies for carrying these cases out in house.
  • Utilize hardware and software needed for guide fabrication

About Instructors

Dr. N. Cory Glenn

Dr. Glenn graduated from University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry. Following graduation, he completed the Lutheran Medical Center’s advanced program in general dentistry at the UT Memphis branch. He is a graduate of the Georgia Maxi Course in Implant Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society’s Comprehensive Ortho Program, and is credentialed as an Associate Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

He has served as the CE director for the TN AGD and as president and CE director of the Middle TN Dental Study Club. Dr. Glenn is also one of the founders of Blue Sky Bio Academy, the online learning center. For several years, Dr. Glenn ran a private practice in Winchester, TN where he performed all disciplines of dentistry with a particular focus on utilizing technology and innovative techniques to provide treatment in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Dr. Glenn is the VP of Technology for Blue Sky Bio, the leading innovator in implant technology, where he focuses on product and software development as well as clinical customer support.  He speaks extensively about CAD/CAM, cone beam technology, guided dental implants, dental photography, digital smile design, complete dentures, and complex full-mouth rehabilitation.
